Payment errors
We’ve gathered the most common payment issues. We explain the reasons and show how to fix them so you can continue shopping without worry.
The most common errors when transactions are declined:
Insufficient funds on the card balance (Error code: #D001)
What might the error look like? - Card-The value is greater than the maximum single transaction value\ - Insufficient Funds Reasons for occurrence
Insufficient funds on the card balance is one of the most common errors when paying with virtual cards. This error can occur for several reasons; follow our recommendations for a successful payment.
What should you do?
Check your card balance and top it up in any convenient way. After the funds are credited, try the payment again.
Keep a little more money on the card than you need for the purchase, so it covers not only the price but also fees.
Pause between payments for 60 to 120 minutes and try again.
Take fees into account when topping up: Easy card — $0.25 for a declined transaction, Pro card — $0.109 for a successful one and $0.089 for a declined one. For example, to pay $20 with a Pro card, you need to have $20.11 on the balance. What should you not do?
Do not repeat the payment several times in a row when the balance is insufficient — each attempt charges a fee and may block the card.
Unlink the card from services you no longer use — otherwise automatic charges will continue.
Do not link the card to services or activate trial periods if you do not plan to keep paying. After the trial period ends, the service will charge automatically.
Useful tips and information
Before making purchases, check your card balance. You can review all rates and terms in the section: Plan comparison.
Restricted merchant category (Error code: #D005)
What might the error look like? - Acct-This merchant name has been restricted (Blacklisted)\ - MCC Restricted
What does this mean MCC (Merchant Category Code) is a merchant category code assigned by the card-issuing bank. The bank blocks some categories at the card level — payment is declined automatically even before the money is charged.
The error occurs for one of two reasons. Check which one applies to you:
Reason 1: the merchant category is blacklisted by the bank
Restricted categories: mining, adult content, money services, casinos and gambling, cryptocurrency, weapons trading, marijuana-related services, government and military organizations.
→ If the service you are paying for belongs to one of these categories, payment is blocked at the bank level and cannot be bypassed. Check whether the service you need is supported: List of payable services.
Reason 2: geo-parameter mismatch
Check all three points:
Your current location matches the country in the card billing address.
The account on the service is not linked to restricted countries: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Serbia, Pakistan.
The payment currency is not associated with these countries.
→ If one of the points does not match, fix it and try the payment again. → If all three points are correct and the error persists, the merchant is blocked at the bank level. Such a block cannot be bypassed.
What not to do Do not repeat the payment several times in a row — this may lead to the card being blocked.
Restricted country (Error code: #D004)
What might the error look like? - Restricted Country
Reasons for occurrence
The merchant is located in a country or region restricted by the card-issuing bank.
What should you do?
Check three conditions:
— The service is not associated with restricted countries: Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Serbia, Pakistan.
— Your location matches the country in the card billing address.
— The payment currency is not associated with restricted countries.
If the service is from a restricted country, try finding an alternative on another platform.
What should you not do?
Do not keep trying to make the payment again and again if you encounter this error. It may lead to the card being blocked.
Temporary security block (Error code: )
What might the error look like? - Unknown Authorization Error (RiskRuleException: ExpiryFailCount)
Reasons for occurrence
The security system detected several failed payment attempts in a row. Most often, this happens because the card details were entered incorrectly.
What should you do?
Stop making repeated payment attempts as soon as the error appears.
Wait from 30 minutes to several hours before trying again.
Before trying to pay again, make sure the card details are entered correctly (security code, expiration date, card number).
What should you not do?
Do not keep trying to make the payment again and again if you encounter this error. It may lead to the card being permanently blocked.

3 or more declined transactions (Error code: #B001)
Reasons for occurrence
The system recorded more than three failed debit attempts in a row. Most often this happens when the card is linked to a subscription and there are not enough funds on the balance. Less often, it is due to merchant category restrictions or a payment provider outage.
What should you do?
Try topping up the card and try again later.
If you do not plan to use the service, unlink the card in its settings.
If the error repeats, contact support via @WantToPaySupportBot, we’ll investigate and suggest a solution.
10 or more declined transactions (Error code: #B002)
Reasons for occurrence
10 or more consecutive failed debit attempts were recorded from the card. Such activity may be considered suspicious by the system. In some cases, the card-issuing bank may automatically restrict the card’s operation under internal security rules.
What should you do?
Stop payment attempts and make sure that:
the card is not linked to active subscriptions or services
there are enough funds on the card
the details are entered correctly
