# How to change region in the App Store
Change the region in your Apple ID to use the App Store and pay for subscriptions in another region. Apple now allows you to change regions even with an active iCloud+ subscription.
**Before changing your region:**
1. Spend the remaining money on your Apple ID balance, if you have any.
2. If you can’t zero out the balance yourself, contact Apple Support.
3. If you have an active Apple Music subscription, check whether you can change regions — some users with this subscription have issues.
#### How to change your region
1. Open **Settings**.
2. Tap **Apple Account** at the top of the screen.
3. Select **Media & Purchases**.
4. Tap **View**.
5. Select **Country and Region**.
6. Tap **Change Country or Region**.
7. Select the region you need.
You can change your region without linking a bank card — when filling in the details, choose the payment method None / No and enter your first and last name in Latin letters.
#### Nuances
* An active **iCloud+** subscription does not necessarily prevent changing the region and remains active.
* If you have funds on your Apple ID balance, you won’t be able to change regions until the balance is zeroed out.
* With an active **Apple Music** subscription, changing the region may not work.
* If Apple asks you to add a payment method, you can use a virtual Wanttopay card to pay for iCloud and App Store purchases.
